David Toop’s Entities Inertias Faint Beings

I’m not sure what it is about the music of David Toop that haunts me so deeply. In my younger years, Toop’s records defined a way of approaching sound that transcended music, sound design and acoustic art. He married the seemingly disparate in a restrained but intensive tapestry of events.

After a gap of 10 years between albums, I gently encouraged David to step back into the studio. He replied with Entities Inertias Faint Beings, easily his most detailed and exploratory record to date.
