This recording is another in an ongoing series of attempts to approach narrative as a compositional device. Each untitled fiction follows a similar episodic structure of interconnected segments, recalling sequential scenes in a story.
The idea of sound recordings as a fiction or a work of imaginary landscape art, an invention, has been a concern in my work for many years. In this way the compositions on this album are sketches of a travelogue, reports from elsewhere.
